Hello! I am Lisa Hansen, a passionate, progressive thinker, brand-centric minded creative leader with 20+ years designing and producing experiences and environments for Fortune 500 companies. My history is filled with many non-traditional projects ranging from proposing fresh updates for exhibits and graphics at the BMW Zentrum Museum to a fully immersive dome environment housing computer technology sponsors. An agent of upholding the design process with the skills and ability to ensure project integrity from concept to installation. Whether designing day-to-day or leading a team, my drive is centered on the idea of influencing life through design.
Born and raised in Birmingham, I attended the Alabama School of Fine Arts to hone my traditional media talents, and later attended Auburn University to pursue my love of interiors and architecture. After graduating with an Industrial Design degree in 1997, I worked for a small exhibit house in Northern California then Trade group, E/G, RadioShack and Blockbuster in Dallas and later Expo Technik in Atlanta. In 2005, I joined Champion Exposition Services as the newly formed Champion Exhibits Teams’ solo senior designer later taking on added roles of team leadership, management and Creative Direction of day-to-day design work. In 2011, Champion was acquired by Freeman. Having always had my eyes on Freeman and watching their growth and success, it was a celebrated moment to become a part of the Freeman family.
With more than 20 years of industry background, I have a diverse range of capabilities within our industry. My work includes expo proposals, corporate events, permanent installations and exhibits of all kinds; large and small, hybrid or custom fabrication. Some of my clients have included GBTA, SCSP for AI Expo, Hilton, Fontainebleau, LA Tourism, Visit Fort Worth, Choice Hotels, Marriott, International Hotels Group (IHG), Amazon Web Services, Dell, Autodesk, Blackboard, and Sanofi. I also possess strong secondary illustration and graphic design skills, coupling those with a renewed love of sketching, and a newfound love of AI brainstorming which are changing the face of my ideation.
